How to reorganize your catalog

How to reorganize your catalog

You can change the order of collections, products and pages in your catalog by dragging and dropping them, sort products by name or SKU, and fill empty blocks automatically with Clean up. The video shows each of these, and each step below links to its chapter.

What you need

A catalog already created in Foldsquare, open in the editor.

Step 1: Reorder collections (0:00)

Click Collapse All so you can clearly see each collection. Then drag and drop a collection to its new position. All the pages related to that collection move with it.

Step 2: Reorder products in a collection (0:34)

Open the collection, then drag and drop the products to their new positions.

Step 3: Swap two products (0:51)

Drop one product directly onto another. The two switch places automatically.

Step 4: Move a product to an empty block (1:06)

Select the product and move it into the empty block.

Step 5: Move pages (1:23)

Go to the Pages tab, then drag and drop pages to their new positions.

Step 6: Sort products by name or SKU (1:45)

In the Products tab, click Organize to sort all your products by name or by SKU. You can do the same for a single category.

Step 7: Fill empty blocks with Clean up (2:16)

If your catalog has gaps, click Organize, then Clean up. Your products move into the empty blocks, and any pages left empty by the reorganization are removed.
